Emiliano Mondonico ed i Rolling Stones sono i protagonisti di una storia deli anni 60 che unisce calcio e musica, rock & goal.

Incredibile, ma vero! Anche il mister Mondonico ha uno scheletro nell’armadio e non riguarda il football bensì un concerto rock.

Era il 1967, un sabato di Aprile, l’8 ed a Milano presso il Palalido si esibivano live i più grandi della musica.
Mick Jagger e Brian Jones facevano diventare pazzi milioni di giovani sparsi in tutto il mondo, pronti a tutto per poter “roccheggiare”…tra questi giovani c’era anche Emiliano Mondonico, un ragazzo ventenne, promettente calciatore.

Strano, ma gli allenatori in passato sono stati giocatori ed anche giovani. Emiliano, era una buona ala, dedito al dribbling, cresciuto a Rivolta d’Adda figlio di ristoratori con il pallino del football praticato all’oratorio. Dopo anni di dilettanti nel suo paese d’origine, Mondonico fu tesserato dalla Cremonese per una stagione di serie D ed una di C.

Ma torniamo a quel sabato di primavera..
Emiliano Mondonico trovò il modo di non giocare con la Cremonese per andare a vedere io concerto dei Rolling Stones! Mettere a repentaglio la propria carriera per la musica significa avere una grande passione!

Mondonico: “mi sono fatto espellere per andare al concerto”

Brian Jones era seduto su una sedia di legno, simile a quella che ho alzato ad Amsterdam. Era uno spettacolo diverso da tutti. Noi eravamo abituati a Orietta Berti, a Nilla Pizzi, a Celentano. Era sconvolgente, ti prendeva…Mi sono fatto squalificare la domenica precedente. Gli Stones avrebbero suonato al sabato sera ed è chiaro che la trasferta sarebbe partita il sabato pomeriggio. Dovevamo giocare a Mestre.
Mi sono fatto espellere”.
Fisicamente non ero in grado di fare dei falli e allora ho cominciato a lanciare improperi all’arbitro. Quando lui si girava per vedere chi era, mi giravo anch’io. E non riusciva a capire chi fosse l’autore delle provocazioni. Alla fine, ha compreso. “È lei che mi ha insultato per tutta la partita?” L’importante era che mi buttasse fuori, così da potere andare a vedere gli Stones.Oltre a Brian Jones, Mick Jagger, un animale da palcoscenico. Da Tony Dallara che faceva il falsetto, mi trovavo di fronte a Jagger. Eravamo abituati a Sanremo… In quel periodo erano i capelli che facevano la differenza. Noi obbligati da sempre alla sfumatura alta… La grande rivoluzione era avere i capelli lunghi. Era un grande contraltare con i genitori. Siamo entrati nel pomeriggio e poi ci siamo nascosti per sentire anche il concerto della sera.
