Non sono certamente gli unici o i primi, gli ultras di Firenze, ad usare la melodia della Gaynor per un coro da stadio, sono anni che diverse tifoserie cantano I will survive, ma questa versione della Fiesole non poteva non essere citata nella nostra sezione apposita.

I will survive, scritta da Freddie Perren e Dino Fekaris, è una canzone uscita in disco 45 giri con etichetta Polydor nel 1978, nel pieno della disco music mania!

l brano è ancora sulla cresta dell’onda, spesso viene passato alla radio o fa parte di qualche passaggio di dj, specialmente in serata con clima festoso. Il testo di I will survive parla di una donna che si riprende dalla separazione dal suo uomo, questo ha reso il disco un’icona della femminilità, ma anche dei gay (anche se non abbiamo capito come)…probabilmente perchè la stessa cantante è diventata un po’il simbolo dell’omosessuolità, come spesso tutta la musica disco.
